Vesak Day is the most sacred day to millions of Buddhists around the world to remember the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautama Buddha – the founder of Buddhism.

“The Buddha’s life and teachings inspire us to be compassionate and put the needs of others before our own. In the digital age, negative voices can sometimes feel overwhelming, but we must continue to find strength in the pursuit of peace and showing compassion for all Canadians and citizens around the world.

“I extend my warmest wishes to those observing Vesak Day.”
