(OTTAWA) November 10, 2017 – Elizabeth May attends the 23rd annual Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn, Germany, as a member of the Canadian government’s delegation. Ms. May attends from Nov. 13 to 19.
Ms. May will also meet with the Global Greens Parliamentarians Association, of which she is co-chair. There are currently more than 400 Green parliamentarians in approximately 25 national level parliaments around the world.
As a delegate to COP23, Ms. May will participate in a full schedule of negotiations and high-level meetings. Ms. May welcomes the opportunity to constructively engage with all members of Canada’s delegation – including the Honourable Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna – as well as with politicians and civil society actors from a wide range of countries.
