Advisory: Elizabeth May attends COP 23 UN Climate Change conference (with itinerary)

(OTTAWA) November 10, 2017 Elizabeth May attends the 23rd annual Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn, Germany, as a member of the Canadian government’s delegation. Ms. May attends from Nov. 13 to 19.

Ms. May will also meet with the Global Greens Parliamentarians Association, of which she is co-chair. There are currently more than 400 Green parliamentarians in approximately 25 national level parliaments around the world.

As a delegate to COP23, Ms. May will participate in a full schedule of negotiations and high-level meetings. Ms. May welcomes the opportunity to constructively engage with all members of Canada’s delegation – including the Honourable Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna – as well as with politicians and civil society actors from a wide range of countries.
