EMAP provides funding to First Nations communities so they can build resiliency, prepare for natural or human-caused hazards and respond to them using the 4 pillars of emergency management: 1. New Approach for Housing Support in British Columbia
o Supports First Nations to better and more effectively leverage funding, develop housing plans and policies and manage housing in their communities.

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada

Canadian Experiences Fund (CEF)
o Invests in the types of products and experiences that cater to Canada’s strengths, while also growing tourism beyond major cities and the summer season. Examples of initiatives that fall into this funding category include:
- Expanding winter and shoulder-season by funding projects like onsite experiences development, tours, excursions, special events and tourism facilities
- Grow tourism in rural and remote communities by investing in projects such as destination development planning, adventure, eco- and agri-tourism, local product development, or rural and remote tourism facilities
- Increase Indigenous tourism by investing in such projects as market readiness, onsite experiences development, developing a line of consumer products, tours, festivals and special events
- Promote LGBTQ2+ communities, by supporting train the trainer programs, projects such as attractions, special events and festivals as well as market readiness
- Boost culinary and farm-to-table experiences, by funding projects in areas including culinary tourism trails, farmers markets, and onsite experiences development in various locations

Canada Arts Presentation Supplemental Funding – Development Component
o Provides financial assistance to support the emergence of arts presenters and presenter-support organizations for under-served communities or artistic practices.
o All applicants must contact the nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage to verify the application deadline. Eligible organizations not currently receiving support from the CAPF in 2019-2020 can submit an application to the Development component for their activities that will take place by March 31, 2020. There is no deadline for the Development component, but we recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible before the start of your project.

Canada Book Fund
o Supports organizations and publishers (two different streams), but applications for organizations are the only ones that are open currently. Funding contributes to the marketing and promotion of Canadian-authored books and also serves to strengthen the infrastructure and efficiency of the Canadian book industry.

Endowment Incentives – Canada Cultural Investment Fund
o Encourages private donors to contribute to endowment funds for not-for-profit professional arts organizations, so they can access new sources of funding in the future. An application to the Endowment Incentives component must be submitted jointly by a not-for-profit professional arts organization and an associated public foundation.

Limited Support to Endangered Arts Organizations – Canada Cultural Investment Fund
o Assists professional arts organizations that are facing the prospect of closure. In specific circumstances, funding is available for the restructuring of an arts organization, so it can continue to contribute to the community it is serving.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Aquaculture Collaborative Research and Development Program (ACRDP)
o Initiative that promotes collaborative research and development activities between the aquaculture industry and the department. The Program teams industry representatives with DFO researchers. The projects are primarily conducted within DFO research facilities but field work may also take place at industry or other partner facilities. Potential projects are proposed by aquaculture producers and funded jointly through the ACRDP as well as the participating aquaculture producer partners.

British Columbia Salmon Restoration and Innovation Fund
o The fund will provide an investment of up to $142.85 million over 5 years to support BC’s fish and seafood sector, and to ensure the sustainability of wild Pacific salmon and other BC fish stocks. The fund will support protection and restoration activities for priority wild fish stocks, including salmon, as well as projects that will ensure the fish and seafood sector in BC is positioned for long-term environmental and economic sustainability.
