DESCRIPTION:The federal government is launching its annual New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) community-based stream 2024-2025 Call for Proposals on August 1st\, 2024.\n\nCommunity based projects are volunteer-based and must: \n\n\n\nAddress one or more program objectives;\nBe local projects that have support from the community;\nBe led or inspired by seniors.\n\n\n\nThe government has identified the following national priorities for these projects: \n\n\n\n\n\n1) Supporting healthy aging;\n2) Preventing senior abuse;\n3) Celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion;\n4) Supporting financial security\n\n\n\n\n\nProjects are funded via annual grants to support senior-led or inspired organizations to a maximum of $25\,000 and are distributed to communities across the country. \n\n\n\nOrganisations can apply for funding until September 12. Projects are eligible to receive up to $25\,000.
