Dans le but d\u2019aider les Canadiens \u00e0 imaginer ce que pourrait \u00eatre un Canada plus Vert, Elizabeth May, d\u00e9put\u00e9e f\u00e9d\u00e9rale dans la circonscription de Saanich-Gulf Islands et chef du Parti vert du Canada, a \u00e9crit sa propre version du discours du Tr\u00f4ne d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n

Dans cet exercice, le discours du Gouverneur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9 par le cabinet d\u2019un gouvernement Vert et expose la direction prise par ce gouvernement et les priorit\u00e9s sur lesquelles le Parlement serait appel\u00e9 \u00e0 se pencher lors de la session qui commence.<\/p>\n

Ce \u00ab Programme pour les citoyens d\u2019abord \u00bb trace les grandes lignes des politiques et des objectifs qui placent les Canadiens et leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats en premier \u2013 des soins de sant\u00e9, \u00e0 la protection de l\u2019environnement, aux changements climatiques, \u00e0 la transparence, \u00e0 la justice pour les Premi\u00e8res Nations jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la restauration de notre r\u00e9putation sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale, tout cela sur la base d\u2019une d\u00e9mocratie vraie et saine bien \u00e9tablie.<\/p>\n

Voici un extrait du discours du Tr\u00f4ne Vert :<\/p>\n

\u00ab La d\u00e9mocratie, en ce 21e si\u00e8cle, se trouve en position de vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 \u2013 entre les r\u00e8gles du secteur priv\u00e9 et une manipulation totalitaire et hyper partisane. Si un premier ministre se retrouve \u00e0 la m\u00eame table que la royaut\u00e9 lors de c\u00e9r\u00e9monies, le jour n\u2019est pas loin o\u00f9 les conventions ne seront plus respect\u00e9es. Les d\u00e9cisions pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9es d\u2019un ancien premier ministre de fermer la Chambre des communes et de proroger le Parlement en 2008 et en 2009 \u00e9taient essentiellement inconstitutionnelles. Si nous voulons pr\u00e9server une d\u00e9mocratie v\u00e9ritable, nous devons nous souvenir que nos coutumes, parfois color\u00e9es, sont le symbole qui nous rappelle les principes fondamentaux de notre d\u00e9mocratie :<\/em><\/p>\n

Pour \u00eatre l\u00e9gitime, un gouvernement doit exister gr\u00e2ce au consentement des gouvern\u00e9s;<\/em><\/p>\n

Le Parlement est l\u2019autorit\u00e9 supr\u00eame;<\/em><\/p>\n

Le premier ministre rend des comptes au Parlement, et pas l\u2019inverse. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
