{"id":11305,"date":"2013-12-19T19:56:49","date_gmt":"2013-12-20T00:56:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elizabethmaymp.ca?p=11305"},"modified":"2013-12-19T19:56:49","modified_gmt":"2013-12-20T00:56:49","slug":"green-party-calls-on-harper-administration-to-heed-federal-panels-warnings-on-northern-gateway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elizabethmaymp.ca\/fr\/green-party-calls-on-harper-administration-to-heed-federal-panels-warnings-on-northern-gateway\/","title":{"rendered":"Le Parti vert demande \u00e0 Harper de tenir compte des avertissements de la Commission et de rejeter le projet Northern Gateway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dans la foul\u00e9e du rapport d\u00e9voil\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui par la Commission d&#8217;examen conjoint du projet Enbridge Northern Gateway, le Parti vert du Canada demande aux conservateurs de Harper de respecter la volont\u00e9 des Britanno-Colombiens en rejetant le controvers\u00e9 projet de pipeline.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, soit pr\u00e8s d\u2019un an apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but du processus d\u2019examen, la Commission charg\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9valuer les impacts sur l\u2019environnement du pipeline Northern Gateway d\u00e9voilait officiellement ses conclusions et recommandait d\u2019approuver le projet uniquement sous 209 conditions r\u00e9glementaires.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth May, la chef du Parti vert du Canada et d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands, a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019administration Harper de rejeter le projet, citant les risques importants, autant pour l\u2019\u00e9conomie que pour l\u2019environnement. \u00ab Il est tout \u00e0 fait inacceptable que l\u2019administration Harper soutienne co\u00fbte que co\u00fbte le projet, comme si c\u2019\u00e9tait l\u2019affaire du si\u00e8cle, alors que les pr\u00e9occupations environnementales font de toute \u00e9vidence obstacle au progr\u00e8s \u00bb, a dit Mme May.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Comme le soulignait l\u2019\u00e9conomiste Robyn Allan, l\u2019ensemble du projet constitue une menace pour l\u2019\u00e9conomie canadienne tout en constituant une menace pour la sant\u00e9 \u00e9cologique de notre r\u00e9gion. Les risques \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle doivent \u00eatre \u00e9valu\u00e9s en regard de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique du projet \u2013 tous les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices iront aux multinationales et aux raffineries \u00e9trang\u00e8res. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Bruce Hyer, d\u00e9put\u00e9 de Thunder Bay\u2014Superior Nord nouvellement greff\u00e9 au caucus du Parti vert, a ajout\u00e9 qu\u2019il demeurait optimiste devant les conditions recommand\u00e9es par la Commission, les estimant trop s\u00e9v\u00e8res pour que le projet puisse aller de l\u2019avant.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Au regard des normes environnementales recommand\u00e9es, des exigences d\u2019intervention en cas d\u2019urgence et des exigences en mati\u00e8re de contreparties financi\u00e8res, je ne vois pas comment nous pourrions justifier ce pipeline d\u2019un point de vue \u00e9conomique \u00bb, a dit M. Hyer.<\/p>\n<p>Le pipeline Northern Gateway parcourrait pr\u00e8s de 1200 kilom\u00e8tres, transportant du bitume dilu\u00e9 provenant des sables bitumineux sur d\u2019innombrables territoires autochtones et aires de nature sauvage prot\u00e9g\u00e9es, de Bruderheim (Alb.) \u00e0 Kitimat (C.-B.). Le gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique a officiellement rejet\u00e9 le projet de pipeline sous sa forme actuelle.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dans la foul\u00e9e du rapport
