Je trouve cela \u00e9trange. Cette question a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 soulev\u00e9e, mais je me demande si le d\u00e9put\u00e9 de Charlottetown, qui si\u00e8ge \u00e0 la Chambre depuis beaucoup plus longtemps que moi, pourrait nous expliquer pourquoi un nombre accru de projets de loi proviennent du S\u00e9nat au lieu de voir le jour l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ils le devraient: \u00e0 la Chambre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sean Casey : <\/strong> Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, j&#8217;ai une tr\u00e8s haute opinion de la d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands, mais je dois d&#8217;abord la corriger. Je si\u00e8ge \u00e0 la Chambre depuis le m\u00eame laps de temps qu&#8217;elle, car j&#8217;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lu pour la premi\u00e8re fois en mai 2011. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que je suis relativement nouveau, je ne peux pas me fier \u00e0 l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience pour dire s&#8217;il est normal ou non que des projets de loi proviennent du S\u00e9nat.<\/p>\n<p>Je pense que ce projet de loi-ci avait franchi la moiti\u00e9 des \u00e9tapes du processus \u00e0 la Chambre, mais qu&#8217;il est mort au Feuilleton lors de la prorogation. Il est important que nous en soyons de nouveau saisis. La Chambre a eu la possibilit\u00e9 de l&#8217;\u00e9tudier. Il est juste de s&#8217;interroger sur le fait qu&#8217;autant de projets de loi proviennent du S\u00e9nat, mais comme le projet de loi en question est n\u00e9cessaire, je ne crois pas que nous devrions nous pr\u00e9occuper de la fa\u00e7on dont il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9. Il est important de l&#8217;\u00e9tudier et de l&#8217;adopter afin que le Canada soit assujetti aux m\u00eames r\u00e8gles que ses alli\u00e9s sur la sc\u00e8ne
