J&#8217;aimerais lui poser une question, pour donner suite \u00e0 ce que le ministre a propos\u00e9. Je pense \u00e9galement qu&#8217;il aurait d\u00fb le dire de mani\u00e8re plus respectueuse. <\/p>\n<p>    Comme on le sait, la Cour supr\u00eame a dit \u00e0 maintes reprises que le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a non seulement l&#8217;obligation de consulter les Premi\u00e8res Nations, mais aussi de les accommoder. \u00c0 mon avis, c&#8217;est ce qui manque ici. Il y a eu des consultations, mais l&#8217;accommodement ne semble pas tout \u00e0 fait \u00e0 la hauteur de ce que la Cour supr\u00eame exige du gouvernement.<\/p>\n<p>    J&#8217;aimerais que ma coll\u00e8gue donne ses interpr\u00e9tations des jugements de la Cour supr\u00eame. L&#8217;obligation de consulter les Premi\u00e8res Nations est-elle vraiment respect\u00e9e?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth May :  <\/strong>    Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, je remercie mon coll\u00e8gue de Gasp\u00e9sie\u2014\u00celes-de-la-Madeleine. <\/p>\n<p>    Je suis absolument d&#8217;accord avec lui. C&#8217;est clair que la Cour supr\u00eame exige que le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral consulte les Premi\u00e8res Nations du Canada, en plus de respecter et d&#8217;accommoder leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats et leurs droits.<\/p>\n<p>     Il est clair que dans une telle situation, et puisque les institutions sont le produit de n\u00e9gociations, ce n&#8217;est pas acceptable. C&#8217;est contre la loi et contre le droit des Premi\u00e8res Nations d&#8217;avoir un gouvernement qui fait des changements de fa\u00e7on unilat\u00e9rale.
