Le co\u00fbt du service de la dette s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 29 $ milliards. Notre gouvernement paye 93\u00a0$ millions en int\u00e9r\u00eats chaque jour. Ce fardeau qu\u2019est la dette mobilise le soutien que nous pourrions affecter \u00e0 des programmes gouvernementaux essentiels. Imaginez ce que 29\u00a0$ milliards pourraient faire pour att\u00e9nuer la pauvret\u00e9 et fournir des logements abordables et une \u00e9ducation postsecondaire accessible au Canada.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr-CA\">Avoir une dette envers des cr\u00e9anciers ext\u00e9rieurs rend nos d\u00e9cideurs politiques vuln\u00e9rables aux pressions venant de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur du pays. Par exemple, le rapport de 1994 du Fonds mon\u00e9taire international (FMI) recommandait au gouvernement du Canada de r\u00e9duire le nombre de lits dans les h\u00f4pitaux, de convertir les bourses \u00e9tudiantes en pr\u00eats \u00e9tudiants portant int\u00e9r\u00eat, et d\u2019\u00e9liminer le financement accord\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Office national du film, \u00e0 la SRC et \u00e0 Via Rail. Le gouvernement du jour a donn\u00e9 suite \u00e0 toutes les recommandations formul\u00e9es en proc\u00e9dant \u00e0 toutes ces coupes. Les Canadiennes et les Canadiens ont perdu 10 pour cent de leurs lits d\u2019h\u00f4pitaux \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du pays, et notre syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 conna\u00eet aujourd\u2019hui une crise li\u00e9e au temps d\u2019attente. Si nous n\u2019avions aucune dette, nous ne serions plus redevables au FMI ou aux agences internationales de notation.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr-CA\">Le Parti vert est d\u2019avis qu\u2019il faut vivre selon ses moyens \u2013 sur les plans \u00e9cologique et financier. Nous sommes d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00e9quilibrer le budget et \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la dette publique. Ce ne sera pas facile. Pour rembourser notre dette tout en finan\u00e7ant des programmes qui r\u00e9pondent aux besoins sociaux, \u00e9conomiques et environnementaux imm\u00e9diats, nous devons maintenir le montant de l\u2019imposition \u00e0 des niveaux sains et justes. Nous devons \u00e9galement veiller \u00e0 ce que les Canadiennes et les Canadiens en aient pour leur argent.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"fr-CA\">Les d\u00e9put\u00e9s verts\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"fr-CA\">S\u2019assureront de ne pas utiliser l\u2019argent r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux infrastructures essentielles que sont nos ponts, nos r\u00e9seaux d\u2019aqueduc et autres infrastructures pour combler le d\u00e9ficit de nos \u00e9tats financiers. Porteront une attention au d\u00e9ficit \u00e9cologique, social et des infrastructures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p lang=\"fr-CA\">\u00c9tabliront un calendrier r\u00e9gulier pour rembourser progressivement la dette tout en r\u00e9pondant aux besoins sociaux et environnementaux imm\u00e9diats, acc\u00e9l\u00e9rant le remboursement de la dette au fil du temps, mais en commen\u00e7ant par de modestes objectifs pour \u00eatre en mesure d\u2019investir dans des programmes essentiels.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La dette du Canada sera, selon les projections, de 600\u00a0$ milliards en 2015.
