d\u00e9nonce le nouveau r\u00e8glement de P\u00eaches et Oc\u00e9ans (MPO) qui aura pour r\u00e9sultat de miner pour de bon la capacit\u00e9 du gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de prot\u00e9ger les eaux canadiennes de la pollution toxique.<\/p>\n<p>Le nouveau R\u00e8glement pr\u00e9voyant les conditions de prise des r\u00e8glements en vertu du paragraphe 36(5.2) de la Loi sur les p\u00eaches est entr\u00e9 en vigueur le 23 avril.<\/p>\n<p>Ce nouveau r\u00e8glement donne des pouvoirs sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent au Minist\u00e8re pour \u00ab permettre le rejet de substance nocive \u00bb dans l\u2019habitat du poisson dans des situations o\u00f9 les eaux sont sous le contr\u00f4le d\u2019une autorit\u00e9 provinciale ou d\u2019une autre autorit\u00e9 f\u00e9d\u00e9rale.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Ce nouveau r\u00e8glement est un autre clou dans le cercueil du secteur des p\u00eaches et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes aquatiques du Canada \u00bb, affirme Elizabeth May, chef du Parti vert du Canada et d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2013Gulf Islands. \u00ab En enlevant ce niveau important de surveillance f\u00e9d\u00e9rale, le MPO ouvre la porte \u00e0 la pollution dans nos eaux, ce qui
