Ces documents sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9s par la Loi sur la Biblioth\u00e8que et les Archives du Canada, car ils constituent le patrimoine documentaire des Canadiens. Les documents exc\u00e9dentaires doivent \u00eatre confi\u00e9s au biblioth\u00e9caire et archiviste du Canada, et les documents et les dossiers ne peuvent pas \u00eatre d\u00e9truits sans consentement \u00e9crit. Je me suis entretenue avec le biblioth\u00e9caire et archiviste du Canada en poste, et j&#8217;ai l&#8217;impression que la loi n&#8217;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 respect\u00e9e.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Le premier ministre s&#8217;engagera-t-il \u00e0 entreprendre imm\u00e9diatement une enqu\u00eate afin de d\u00e9terminer si la fermeture de ces biblioth\u00e8ques et le fait de jeter tout bonnement ces documents, qui se sont retrouv\u00e9s dans des bennes \u00e0 ordures et ont pu \u00eatre recueillis par des pilleurs, sont des pratiques l\u00e9gales? Va-t-il r\u00e9tablir et prot\u00e9ger le patrimoine documentaire des Canadiens?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><b><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Gary Goodyear : <\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, rien ne saurait \u00eatre plus loin de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Les documents originaux seront conserv\u00e9s, tandis que les documents que nous poss\u00e9dons en double et dont personne ne veut seront \u00e9limin\u00e9s selon les processus habituels. Les renseignements qui pouvaient \u00eatre consult\u00e9s dans les biblioth\u00e8ques pourront encore \u00eatre consult\u00e9s dans l&#8217;univers num\u00e9rique.
