Je ne l&#8217;ai pas encore dit clairement, mais je vais l&#8217;appuyer. Nous avons besoin de tenir des audiences d&#8217;un bout \u00e0 l&#8217;autre du pays. Id\u00e9alement, nous devrions en \u00e9tendre la port\u00e9e pour inclure d&#8217;autres questions relatives \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 de la d\u00e9mocratie qui pr\u00e9occupent les Canadiens, particuli\u00e8rement en ce qui a trait \u00e0 notre lamentable syst\u00e8me uninominal majoritaire \u00e0 un tour. Il s&#8217;agit du seul syst\u00e8me du monde d\u00e9mocratique qui permet \u00e0 une minorit\u00e9 d&#8217;\u00e9lecteurs d&#8217;\u00e9lire un gouvernement majoritaire. Cette fois-ci, ce sont les conservateurs qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9s au pouvoir de la sorte; par le pass\u00e9, ce furent les lib\u00e9raux. Mais cela n&#8217;est pas repr\u00e9sentatif de la fa\u00e7on dont les Canadiens votent r\u00e9ellement. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">J&#8217;aimerais conna\u00eetre l&#8217;avis du d\u00e9put\u00e9 \u00e0 ce sujet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><b><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Wayne Marston : <\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: medium;\">Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, je remercie la d\u00e9put\u00e9e de sa question et de son commentaire. Si nous avions un syst\u00e8me de repr\u00e9sentation proportionnelle, la composition actuelle de la Chambre serait fort diff\u00e9rente de ce qu&#8217;elle est aujourd&#8217;hui. Mon parti et moi estimons qu&#8217;un tel syst\u00e8me serait b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour la d\u00e9mocratie.
