En 2002, le Canada se classait au 7e rang des pays les plus visit\u00e9s, mais il avait chut\u00e9 au 18e rang en 2011. On peut en tirer certaines conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>Il est inqui\u00e9tant de savoir que les \u00c9tats-Unis sont le principal march\u00e9 source de touristes pour le Canada, mais que, sous le gouvernement actuel, toute la publicit\u00e9 touristique aux \u00c9tats-Unis a \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9e. Le seul produit dont nous faisons la promotion aux \u00c9tats-Unis est le bitume.<\/p>\n<p>J&#8217;aimerais interroger le d\u00e9put\u00e9 \u00e0 propos de la r\u00e9serve \u00e0 vocation de parc national N\u00e1\u00e1ts\u2019ihch\u2019oh. Il a fait allusion \u00e0 ses inqui\u00e9tudes en ce qui a trait aux plus petites limites. Nous savons que la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pour la nature et les parcs du Canada et beaucoup d&#8217;autres agents de protection de la nature sur le terrain croient que ces limites plus petites ne permettront pas de prot\u00e9ger ad\u00e9quatement la rivi\u00e8re Nahanni Sud. Je voudrais demander \u00e0 mon coll\u00e8gue s&#8217;il partage ces pr\u00e9occupations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dennis Bevington :<\/strong> Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, 92 % des personnes qui ont exprim\u00e9 leur opinion dans le processus de consultation publique partagent ces pr\u00e9occupations. En tant que citoyen et repr\u00e9sentant des Territoires du Nord-Ouest, cela me pr\u00e9occupe aussi. Lorsqu&#8217;on cr\u00e9e un parc, on l&#8217;\u00e9tablit de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger certaines valeurs, que ce soit la faune ou le bassin hydrographique. Cela fait partie du processus.<\/p>\n<p>Je vis en bordure du parc national Wood Buffalo, dont la superficie est beaucoup plus grande que le parc dont il est question en ce moment. C&#8217;est le plus grand parc du Canada, la plus grande r\u00e9gion de l&#8217;Am\u00e9rique du Nord libre de toute ligne de sondage sismique et la plus grande r\u00e9gion pourvue d&#8217;une biosph\u00e8re compl\u00e8te. C&#8217;est une r\u00e9gion incroyable, et nous payons cher pour cela. Je serais ravi que le tourisme qui y est associ\u00e9 augmente dans ma collectivit\u00e9 puisque, \u00e9videmment, le parc occupe une partie importante du paysage dans le Nord de l&#8217;Alberta et le Sud des Territoires du Nord-Ouest.<\/p>\n<p>Quand on retire une partie du territoire, il faut fournir d&#8217;autres solutions pour les gens. Cela va dans les deux sens. Les choix sont faits. Voici ce que le gouvernement conservateur propose. Nous pouvons vivre avec cela, mais est-ce la meilleure solution?
