fonciers de la Premi\u00e8re Nation Tsilhqot\u2019in et \u00e0 honorer les droits issus de trait\u00e9s \u00e9tablis des Premi\u00e8res Nations signataires du Trait\u00e9 no 8, de Saulteaux et de la rivi\u00e8re Blueberry en rejetant la demande de BC Hydro d\u2019aller de l\u2019avant avec un projet de barrage hydro\u00e9lectrique sur la rivi\u00e8re Peace au site C.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous avons le temps de bien faire les choses. \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 le fait que la commission d\u2019examen conjoint concluait que le besoin d\u2019un tel projet n\u2019avait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e0 court terme et que le but du projet est de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 pour l\u2019industrie du gaz naturel liqu\u00e9fi\u00e9 \u2013 en soi une proposition boiteuse -, nous exhortons les gouvernements provincial et f\u00e9d\u00e9ral \u00e0 examiner de plus pr\u00e8s cette demande \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la chef du Parti vert du Canada et d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2013Gulf Islands, Elizabeth May.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Il faut au moins prot\u00e9ger les droits issus de trait\u00e9s des Premi\u00e8res Nations signataires du Trait\u00e9 no 8, de Saulteaux et de la rivi\u00e8re Blueberry, et respecter le jugement de la Cour supr\u00eame dans l\u2019affaire de titres fonciers de la Premi\u00e8re Nation Tsilhqot\u2019in. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/elizabethmaymp.ca\/fr\/site-c-clean-energy-project\">Le 10 octobre, Mme May est devenue la premi\u00e8re d\u00e9put\u00e9e \u00e0 demander au gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral devant la Chambre des communes<\/a> de respecter les droits issus de trait\u00e9s des Premi\u00e8res Nations signataires du Trait\u00e9 no 8, de Saulteaux et de la rivi\u00e8re Blueberry, et de rejeter la demande de construire le barrage.<\/p>\n<p>En mai 2014, le rapport de la commission d\u2019examen conjoint du projet d\u2019\u00e9nergie propre du site C indiquait que le barrage aurait des \u00ab effets n\u00e9gatifs importants \u00bb sur la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation locale, le poisson, les oiseaux et certaines des 23 esp\u00e8ces sauvages prot\u00e9g\u00e9es, et que ces effets \u00ab ne peuvent \u00eatre att\u00e9nu\u00e9s \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La commission notait aussi que le projet \u00ab entra\u00eenerait des pertes financi\u00e8res importantes \u00bb pour plusieurs ann\u00e9es, ne b\u00e9n\u00e9ficierait pas aux communaut\u00e9s autochtones locales financi\u00e8rement ou ne contribuerait pas \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des emplois dans la r\u00e9gion, et que BC Hydro n\u2019avait pas
