OTTAWA, 6 novembre 2015 \u2013<\/strong> Elizabeth May, chef du Parti vert et d\u00e9put\u00e9e (Saanich-Gulf Islands), salue la d\u00e9cision de l\u2019administration Obama prise aujourd\u2019hui de rejeter la demande de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 TransCanada de construire l\u2019ol\u00e9oduc Keystone\u00a0XL.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous saluons la d\u00e9cision des \u00c9tats-Unis. La version d\u00e9finitive de l\u2019\u00e9nonc\u00e9 des incidences environnementales (FEIS) transmise au d\u00e9partement d\u2019\u00c9tat des \u00c9tats-Unis a clairement d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que Keystone contribuerait \u00e0 l\u2019expansion des sables bitumineux et augmenterait les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre.<\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sident Obama a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans son allocution que l\u2019ol\u00e9oduc Keystone ne contribuerait pas de fa\u00e7on importante \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie des \u00c9.-U. C\u2019est aussi le cas pour le Canada. Les investissements dans les \u00e9nergies vertes, comme l\u2019\u00e9olien, le solaire et l\u2019hydro, cr\u00e9ent 7 fois plus d\u2019emplois par dollar investi<\/a> que les investissements dans les secteurs \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques traditionnels.<\/p>\n

Cette d\u00e9cision aide le Canada \u00e0 faire face \u00e0 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de stabiliser la production de bitume provenant des sables bitumineux et de s\u2019engager dans la voie de la d\u00e9carbonisation de notre \u00e9conomie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
