TORONTO – Alors que le conflit en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse continue de s’aggraver, le Parti vert du Canada et le Parti vert de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse ont publi\u00e9 une d\u00e9claration commune condamnant la violence et appelant tous les dirigeants \u00e0 se joindre \u00e0 eux pour d\u00e9noncer les actes criminels qui ont eu lieu et ont exhort\u00e9 la GRC et les communaut\u00e9s concern\u00e9es \u00e0 respecter leur devoir les uns envers les autres et \u00e0 mettre fin \u00e0 ces attaques.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Il est impensable qu’un tel effondrement de l’ordre, et la violence qui s’ensuit dans le sud-ouest de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, se produise dans un pays comme le Canada \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le chef du Parti vert de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse Thomas Trappenberg.\u00a0 \u00ab Il n’existe aucune justification pour ces actes. Les crimes sont des crimes ind\u00e9pendamment de ceux qui les commettent et le Parti vert de Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse exige que la police et le gouvernement provincial agissent imm\u00e9diatement. Nous appelons tous les dirigeants provinciaux, la population et les gens qui respectent la loi sur la p\u00eache commerciale \u00e0 d\u00e9noncer ces actes d\u2019une violence inou\u00efe. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Le droit \u00e0 la p\u00eache est clair, et les gouvernements f\u00e9d\u00e9raux successifs ont trop longtemps abdiqu\u00e9 leur responsabilit\u00e9 de participer \u00e0 un dialogue significatif de nation \u00e0 nation. Face \u00e0 l’absence troublante de leadership politique de la part des gouvernements f\u00e9d\u00e9ral et n\u00e9o-\u00e9cossais, le Parti vert du Canada et le Parti vert de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse appellent \u00e0 un tel dialogue pour d\u00e9samorcer la situation.<\/p>\n

\u00ab En supposant que les gouvernements provincial et f\u00e9d\u00e9ral soient sinc\u00e8res dans leur intention d\u00e9clar\u00e9e de r\u00e9soudre cette crise par le dialogue, et pas seulement par des mesures d’application de la loi, le lancement d’un dialogue de nation \u00e0 nation qui peut avoir lieu dans un cadre solide est l’\u00e9l\u00e9ment sur lequel il faut se concentrer d\u00e8s maintenant \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la chef du Parti vert du Canada Annamie Paul.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral n’a pas propos\u00e9 de processus pour r\u00e9soudre ce conflit. Cette situation implique des membres des m\u00eames communaut\u00e9s et des personnes qui continueront \u00e0 vivre c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te. Il est donc essentiel qu’un dialogue efficace soit entam\u00e9 le plus rapidement possible. Un tel cadre devrait \u00eatre clairement d\u00e9fini \u00e0 l’avance pour toutes les parties prenantes. \u00bb<\/p>\n
