L&#8217;intervention meurtri\u00e8re s&#8217;est produite la derni\u00e8re fin de semaine de f\u00e9vrier \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00eele Meares, sur le territoire traditionnel des Tla-o-qui-aht. Dans son communiqu\u00e9, la nation a soulign\u00e9 qu&#8217;un plus grand nombre de ses membres ont h\u00e9las \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s par la GRC lors de v\u00e9rifications de l&#8217;\u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 que par la COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Quand le ministre prendra-t-il ses responsabilit\u00e9s? Nos pens\u00e9es accompagnent la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les situations comme celle-ci, il est imp\u00e9ratif de mener une enqu\u00eate ind\u00e9pendante et transparente sans tarder pour r\u00e9pondre aux nombreuses questions difficiles que se posent \u00e0 juste titre les membres de la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Nous saluons et appuyons par ailleurs la toute premi\u00e8re nomination d&#8217;un observateur civil autochtone qui contribuera \u00e0 superviser l&#8217;enqu\u00eate, \u00e0 laquelle il aura pleinement acc\u00e8s.
