Elle a parl\u00e9 des cons\u00e9quences de l&#8217;abolition du registre des armes \u00e0 feu, dont le vol d&#8217;armes l\u00e9gales, d&#8217;armes de chasse. Bien avant que la cr\u00e9ation du registre, la plupart des groupes criminels, ceux qui n&#8217;avaient pas de r\u00e9seau de trafic d&#8217;armes \u00e0 feu mais ayant une arme de poing, pouvaient se procurer des armes de chasse simplement en en volant dans des r\u00e9sidences. Ils tron\u00e7onnaient l&#8217;arme de chasse pour en faire une arme encore plus dangereuse qu&#8217;une arme de poing et facilement camouflable. C&#8217;est plus facile de camoufler ce genre d&#8217;arme.<\/p>\n<p>[yv4gLhyoOBw]<\/p>\n<p>Avec l&#8217;abolition du registre, ne risque-t-on pas de revoir ce genre de vol et ce genre d&#8217;armes modifi\u00e9es puisque ces armes ne seront plus enregistr\u00e9es et, donc, facilement utilisables?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth May :<\/strong> Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, je suis d&#8217;accord avec ma coll\u00e8gue. Avec ce projet de loi, il y a un grand danger de voir un accroissement des activit\u00e9s de voleurs cherchant \u00e0 se procurer des armes d&#8217;\u00e9paule. Il risque d&#8217;y avoir une croissance du nombre de ces vols puisqu&#8217;il n&#8217;y a pas de loi exigeant l&#8217;enregistrement des armes \u00e0 feu. Il risque d&#8217;y avoir un accroissement des crimes et non l&#8217;inverse.
