Cette semaine, Elizabeth est \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al pour assister \u00e0 la COP15 avec la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation canadienne.<\/p>\n

Mercredi soir, les d\u00e9put\u00e9s ont tenu un d\u00e9bat exploratoire sur les r\u00e9centes accusations d\u00e9pos\u00e9es en lien avec le meurtre de quatre femmes autochtones au Manitoba. Elizabeth a d\u00e9clar\u00e9<\/a><\/u> que le Canada n\u2019avait pas encore r\u00e9pondu au rapport de l\u2019Enqu\u00eate sur les femmes et les filles autochtones disparues et assassin\u00e9es. Elle a \u00e9nonc\u00e9 certaines mesures que le Canada pourrait prendre imm\u00e9diatement contre cette injustice.<\/p>\n

Mike a poursuivi en ce sens \u00e0 la\u00a0p\u00e9riode des questions<\/a><\/u>,\u00a0en demandant au gouvernement de fournir imm\u00e9diatement des fonds et des ressources pour mettre fin \u00e0 ce cycle de violence.<\/p>\n

Dans une allocution, Elizabeth a rendu hommage<\/a><\/u> aux 14 femmes assassin\u00e9es dans le massacre de la Polytechnique en 1989. Comme elle le dit si bien\u00a0: mettre un terme \u00e0 la violence est le travail de tous.<\/p>\n

Comit\u00e9<\/h3>\n

Le Comit\u00e9 de l\u2019environnement proc\u00e8de \u00e0 l\u2019examen article par article du projet de loi S-5, premi\u00e8re r\u00e9vision de la Loi canadienne sur la protection de l\u2019environnement en 23 ans. Elizabeth travaille fort pour am\u00e9liorer le projet de loi en pr\u00e9sentant 24 amendements.<\/p>\n

Au Comit\u00e9 permanent des ressources humaines, du d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences, du d\u00e9veloppement social et la condition des personnes handicap\u00e9es (HUMA), quatre amendements pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s par le bureau de Mike ont \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9s pour am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de la Prestation d\u2019invalidit\u00e9 du Canada!\u00a0Cliquer ici<\/a><\/u>\u00a0pour en savoir plus sur les amendements de Mike [en anglais seulement].<\/p>\n
