Il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;une mesure qui porte davantage sur des questions d&#8217;ordre administratif plut\u00f4t que sur des changements radicaux. Toutefois, le d\u00e9put\u00e9 s&#8217;est dit d&#8217;accord avec le ministre des Finances, qui est contre la taxe sur les transactions financi\u00e8res internationales, une taxe que le Parti vert appuie vigoureusement. Elle \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 seulement 2 \u00a2 par tranche de 1 000 $ de transactions internationales sur les instruments d\u00e9riv\u00e9es, qui ont failli mener le monde \u00e0 la faillite.<\/p>\n<p>J&#8217;aimerais conna\u00eetre le point de vue du d\u00e9put\u00e9 et la position officielle du Nouveau Parti d\u00e9mocratique \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9gard de la taxe sur les transactions financi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Robert Chisholm :<\/strong>\u00a0Madame la Pr\u00e9sidente, l&#8217;opposition du gouvernement \u00e0 cette mesure importante me pr\u00e9occupe aussi.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, je vais revenir sur une pr\u00e9occupation qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 soulev\u00e9e, soit le discours des minist\u00e9riels qui affirment que le projet de loi est judicieux parce qu&#8217;il \u00e9limine des r\u00e8glements et des formalit\u00e9s. Au cours des prochains jours ou des prochaines semaines, les minist\u00e9riels vont vanter le bien-fond\u00e9 de r\u00e9duire le fardeau r\u00e9glementaire et les formalit\u00e9s entourant les \u00e9valuations environnementales et dire tout le bien qui en d\u00e9coulera pour le pays. Quand le gouvernement dit que le Canada b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiera de l&#8217;\u00e9limination de ce genre de r\u00e9glementation, cela me donne mati\u00e8re \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir.
