Comme les d\u00e9put\u00e9s le savent sans doute maintenant, je dois \u00eatre la seule d\u00e9put\u00e9e qui estime devoir s&#8217;opposer au projet de loi, en raison des pouvoirs d&#8217;arrestation accrus qu&#8217;il conf\u00e8re aux citoyens.<\/p>\n<p>Sur la recommandation de l&#8217;Association du Barreau canadien, j&#8217;ai tent\u00e9 de pr\u00e9senter un amendement qui aurait supprim\u00e9 l&#8217;article du projet de loi qui porte sur l&#8217;\u00e9largissement des pouvoirs d&#8217;arrestation par des citoyens. Le d\u00e9put\u00e9 d&#8217;Hamilton-Est\u2014Stoney Creek pourrait-il expliquer pourquoi l&#8217;opposition officielle a refus\u00e9 d&#8217;appuyer l&#8217;amendement que je proposais et qui nous aurait permis de corriger l&#8217;article du projet de loi qui est le plus probl\u00e9matique pour bien des gens?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wayne Marston :<\/strong> Madame la Pr\u00e9sidente, je ne si\u00e9geais pas au comit\u00e9.
