Il est faux de dire que la loi am\u00e9ricaine est plus stricte que celle du Canada. Il n&#8217;y a aucune gloire \u00e0 tenter de cr\u00e9er, comme le d\u00e9put\u00e9 conservateur le disait plus t\u00f4t, une loi encore plus stricte que celle des \u00c9tats-Unis, surtout quand la loi dont on parle est r\u00e9trograde et restrictive, qu&#8217;elle emp\u00eacherait les consommateurs d&#8217;avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des biens qu&#8217;ils ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 achet\u00e9s et qu&#8217;elle permet \u00e0 un verrou num\u00e9rique envahissant d&#8217;avoir pr\u00e9s\u00e9ance sur tous les autres droits.<\/p>\n<p>J&#8217;esp\u00e8re que ma coll\u00e8gue de l&#8217;opposition officielle votera en faveur des amendements propos\u00e9s par les d\u00e9put\u00e9s de l&#8217;opposition ce soir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Libby Davies :<\/strong> Madame la Pr\u00e9sidente, la d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands a pris une part tr\u00e8s active dans le pr\u00e9sent d\u00e9bat et elle a exprim\u00e9 son point de vue. J&#8217;examinerai certainement ces amendements. Nous n&#8217;avons m\u00e9nag\u00e9 aucun effort pour att\u00e9nuer les pires aspects de ce projet de loi.<\/p>\n<p>Si le projet de loi est adopt\u00e9 \u2014 et il le sera probablement \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 la composition de la Chambre \u2014, force est de se demander quelles seront ses r\u00e9percussions, non seulement sur les consommateurs en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, mais aussi sur les artistes en particulier. Nous devions nous pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9valuer, car il aura des cons\u00e9quences \u00e0 long terme. C&#8217;est tr\u00e8s regrettable, car nous aurions pu d\u00e8s maintenant en corriger les lacunes. Je remercie donc la d\u00e9put\u00e9e d&#8217;avoir propos\u00e9 des mesures concr\u00e8tes et pr\u00e9cises qui pourraient rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 certains des pires aspects du projet de loi. C&#8217;est pour cela que nous sommes ici.
