d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands, Elizabeth May, compte bien contraindre la Chambre \u00e0 voter par assis et lev\u00e9 sur ses <a href=\"http:\/\/elizabethmaymp.ca\/fr\/parliament\/legislative-amendments\/2012\/05\/17\/amendments-to-bill-c-31\">neuf amendements<\/a>\u00a0au projet de loi C 31, la soi-disant Loi visant \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger le syst\u00e8me d\u2019immigration du Canada, avec l\u2019appui du Parti lib\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Bien que j\u2019appuie les modifications apport\u00e9es par le ministre Kenney au projet de loi, il n\u2019en demeure pas moins que ce dernier viole nos engagements de longue date en mati\u00e8re de protection des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s, en plus de contrevenir \u00e0 la Charte canadienne des droits et libert\u00e9s et d\u2019enfreindre nos obligations internationales en mati\u00e8re de droits de la personne. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le projet de loi C 31 maintient la d\u00e9tention des hommes, des femmes et des enfants de plus de 16 ans dont l\u2019arriv\u00e9e au Canada serait jug\u00e9e \u00ab irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re \u00bb jusqu\u2019\u00e0 un an, et ce, \u00e0 grands frais pour les contribuables.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Les modifications propos\u00e9es par le projet de loi C 31 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mises en \u0153uvre dans plusieurs pays, sans pour autant faire fl\u00e9chir le nombre d&#8217;entr\u00e9es ill\u00e9gales \u00bb, a soulign\u00e9 May. \u00ab Je sais que les Canadiennes et les Canadiens souhaiteraient me voir d\u00e9fendre leurs valeurs et leurs principes en
