Elizabeth May, la chef du Parti vert du Canada et d\u00e9put\u00e9e \u00e9lue dans Saanich-Gulf Islands, demande au gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de venir en aide aux milliers de Canadiennes et de Canadiens touch\u00e9s par les inondations au Manitoba et au Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Les provinces et les victimes ne doivent pas \u00eatre contraintes d’assumer seules le fardeau du nettoyage et de la remise en \u00e9tat engendr\u00e9 par ces catastrophes. Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral doit participer \u00e0 l’effort, notamment pour venir en aide aux collectivit\u00e9s des Premi\u00e8res nations affect\u00e9es par ces inondations \u00bb, a dit Mme May. \u00ab Le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral doit \u00e9galement \u00eatre pr\u00eat \u00e0 donner un coup de main pour g\u00e9rer les impacts environnementaux, puisque ces inondations pourraient avoir transport\u00e9 de grandes quantit\u00e9s d’eaux us\u00e9es et de produits chimiques agricoles dans des cours d’eau fragiles. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous connaissons une situation sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, alors que de graves inondations touchent simultan\u00e9ment de nombreuses r\u00e9gions du continent \u00bb, a dit Mme May. \u00ab Une fois que le nettoyage sera termin\u00e9 et que la vie aura repris son cours normal dans les collectivit\u00e9s touch\u00e9es, nous devrons \u00e9valuer toutes les cons\u00e9quences de ces catastrophes. \u00bb<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
