Nous disposons de nouveaux renseignements tr\u00e8s importants qui doivent \u00eatre pris en compte par les d\u00e9put\u00e9s conservateurs. En effet, un nouveau rapport europ\u00e9en indique que l&#8217;arbitrage n&#8217;est pas un processus aussi impartial et objectif qu&#8217;on voudrait bien le croire. En fait, il existe un groupe d&#8217;\u00e9lite d&#8217;avocats sp\u00e9cialistes du droit international, qui gagnent des millions de dollars en exploitant les gouvernements partout dans le monde. Ils recherchent activement les possibilit\u00e9s qui s&#8217;offrent, r\u00e9ussissent \u00e0 convaincre les gouvernements de conclure des accords sur la promotion et la protection des investissements \u00e9trangers, puis exigent 1 000 $ l&#8217;heure pour s&#8217;occuper de ces dossiers.<\/p>\n<p>J&#8217;invite les d\u00e9put\u00e9s conservateurs \u00e0 se pencher sur la question de l&#8217;arbitrage, qui est un processus fonci\u00e8rement injuste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L&#8217;hon. Tony Clement :<\/strong> Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, je tiens \u00e0 rappeler \u00e0 la chef du Parti vert que, comme nous le savons, cet accord vise \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les Canadiens qui investissent en Chine, afin qu&#8217;ils b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient eux aussi des droits et protections dont b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient les investisseurs chinois et les autres investisseurs \u00e9trangers en vertu des lois canadiennes.
