Pourquoi n&#8217;y a-t-il pas encore de d\u00e9finition de la notion de \u00ab s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale \u00bb dans la Loi sur Investissement Canada? C&#8217;\u00e9tait pourtant une des recommandations du groupe d&#8217;experts nomm\u00e9 par le gouvernement apr\u00e8s la situation avec Minmetals. Quand la Loi sur Investissement Canada a \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9e en 2009, le gouvernement a choisi de ne pas d\u00e9finir la notion de \u00ab s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Y aura-t-il une d\u00e9finition claire de cette notion qui pourrait \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e lors de l&#8217;\u00e9valuation de futures transactions?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michelle Rempel<\/strong> : Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, la question de ma coll\u00e8gue d&#8217;en face me donne l&#8217;occasion de lui rappeler que, en 2009, je crois, c&#8217;est le gouvernement conservateur qui a inclus la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale dans le processus d&#8217;examen de la Loi sur Investissement Canada, une \u00e9tape importante dans la clarification des r\u00e8gles relatives aux investissements \u00e9trangers dans notre pays. Le gouvernement a \u00e9t\u00e9 proactif en prenant une telle mesure.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;intervention de ma coll\u00e8gue me permet \u00e9galement de souligner qu&#8217;elle s&#8217;est constamment oppos\u00e9e \u00e0 des accords commerciaux qui auraient assur\u00e9 la croissance \u00e9conomique du Canada dans divers secteurs. Elle s&#8217;oppose sans cesse \u00e0 toutes les sortes d&#8217;accords commerciaux, qu&#8217;il s&#8217;agisse d&#8217;accords de libre-\u00e9change ou de tentatives d&#8217;apporter des \u00e9claircissements sur les investissements. \u00c0 l&#8217;avenir, j&#8217;esp\u00e8re qu&#8217;elle appuiera certaines de ces initiatives pour le bien du Canada.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elizabeth May : Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, j&#8217;aimerais poser une question \u00e0 la secr\u00e9taire parlementaire.
