Je veux demander au d\u00e9put\u00e9 s&#8217;il appuie l&#8217;id\u00e9e qu&#8217;il est tr\u00e8s important, pour cette Chambre des communes et pour tous les d\u00e9put\u00e9s, de rendre ce projet de loi aussi fort que possible, pour le rendre conforme \u00e0 la Charte. En ce moment, des politiciens et des groupes d&#8217;avocats tr\u00e8s experts pensent que le projet de loi est un peu trop faible parce que nous n&#8217;avons pas ajout\u00e9 les amendements pour avoir plus de rapports de v\u00e9rifications ou pour v\u00e9rifier si le policier peut utiliser cette section du code.<\/p>\n<p>C&#8217;est ma question.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hoang Mai:\u00a0<\/strong>Monsieur le Pr\u00e9sident, j&#8217;aimerais remercier la d\u00e9put\u00e9e de Saanich\u2014Gulf Islands de sa question.<br \/>\nEn principe, oui, nous sommes d&#8217;accord sur le fait qu&#8217;il faut faire attention \u00e0 la Charte et qu&#8217;il faut prot\u00e9ger le droit \u00e0 la vie priv\u00e9e. C&#8217;est tr\u00e8s important. Il faut savoir que l&#8217;\u00e9coute \u00e9lectronique doit \u00eatre faite en cas d&#8217;urgence et de fa\u00e7on vraiment exceptionnelle.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque nous avons \u00e9tudi\u00e9 ce projet de loi en comit\u00e9, certaines choses avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 mentionn\u00e9es par ma coll\u00e8gue. D&#8217;abord, nous avons eu une assurance de la part des t\u00e9moins qui \u00e9taient l\u00e0. Ces gens repr\u00e9sentaient toutes sortes de facettes. Ce n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas simplement des gens du gouvernement. On a vraiment eu une assurance \u00e0 ce niveau. Concernant les rapports, je sais que mon coll\u00e8gue lib\u00e9ral avait aussi propos\u00e9 un amendement. Par la suite, il s&#8217;est ravis\u00e9.
