The rest of the world will sign onto a Kyoto Protocol extension without Canada, Elizabeth May predicted Thursday.
“The reports so far from Durban suggest most of the countries speaking are advocating for a second commitment period under Kyoto,” she said. “They’re looking for flexibility and trying to find ways to bring on recalcitrant governments — at this point, identified as Canada, Japan and Russia.”
