Fisheries Minister Keith Ashfield indicated Wednesday that changes are coming to the federal Fisheries Act.

NDP and Liberal MPs blasted the plan, accusing the Conservatives of trying to “gut” what Green party leader Elizabeth May calls the “cornerstone” of federal environment policy.
