]]> The Green Party of Canada sends a heartfelt thank you to all teachers on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, October 5th.  “Today is a day to celebrate all teachers who provide education to children and adults of all ages. Education is the backbone of our society and we thank teachers who take on this challenging and rewarding job,” said Green Leader Elizabeth May. “Teachers also play a critical role in observing children in the classroom and helping those who may be struggling, not just with learning but also with parents, poverty, and emotional challenges.  It is often teachers who will guide a child onto the right path, re-engaging them and ensuring they don’t stray into trouble.  Teachers deserve our recognition and support for the benefits they bring to our society.”
