All Buffleheads Celebration – October 14

The punctual bufflehead duck on Sidney’s Coat of Arms has an arduous migration flight across the Coast Mountain Range to arrive on time, mid-October, to rest and feed for the winter in Roberts Bay and other local waters.

The Friends of Shoal Harbour Society invites all of us to an celebration Saturday October 14, 10 am, on the beach at Ardwell (enter at the intersection of Ardwell Rd and Resthaven Dr in Sidney) to welcome the first arrivals. Join us to observe and learn about these small “storm rider” “spirit” ducks!
