Join Elizabeth May at the annual Mayne Island May Day event in support of the Mayne Island Conservancy Society. This is a celebration of the change of the season and the greening of the earth, originating in 2006 when Helen O’Brian and Maggi Cheetham came up with this plan.
The event will take place on Saturday May 17 from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Mayne Island Agricultural Hall (directions below).
The event is free for all to participate with donation tins set out at the market in the activities area, as well as at the Gazebo in Miners Bay Park where the refreshments are served after the crowning of the May Queen.
