North Saanich Residents Association Community Meeting

Thursday 7:00 p.m. December 5^th at the Saanich Peninsula Presbyterian Church

Dan Oshanek – Bylaw Enforcement Officer for the District of North Saanich 

Dan will provide an overview of what residents should know about bylaw enforcement processes including:

• How residents can submit requests for by-law enforcement.
• The process by which complaints are addressed.
• The most common by-law issues he addresses.

If you have questions you wish to ask Dan, you can submit them to us by email no later than Monday December 2^nd at 10:00 a.m.

We feel this approach will allow Dan to consider his responses in advance of the meeting and allow those of you who may be reluctant to speak at the meeting to have your questions considered. When you submit your query, please do not include the specifics of the individuals or specific address of your concern.

Time permitting, we will also be accepting questions from the floor.

Elizabeth May – Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Member of Parliament representing the riding of Saanich Gulf Islands

Elizabeth’s presentation will include her thoughts on:

• How to make the parliamentary system more collaborative in today’s political climate.
• How to ensure that climate change and environmental issues remain at the top of the agenda for governments when the focus seems to be on affordability, housing and crime.
• Some of the positive environmental initiatives she is seeing around the world.

Elizabeth will also entertain questions from NSRA members.
