“The issue isn’t the use of automated telephone messages,” said May. “The issue is if the purpose of the call is to do mischievous things, to impersonate another party, to impersonate elections Canada, or to go to the wrong polling stations then that is illegal.”
May said she has only used automated calling services for two reasons.
