SIDNEY, BC – Elizabeth May, O.C., Member of Parliament for Saanich-Gulf Islands, is honoured to announce that 25 constituents have been chosen to be awarded the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal. Only 30,000 Canadians, approved by the Governor General of Canada, will receive this significant honour.
The Coronation Medal commemorates the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III as King of Canada. It is bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada or their community, or who have achieved excellence abroad that brings credit to the nation. The recipients of this award are exceptional members of our community whose dedication and service have made Saanich-Gulf Islands a better place for all.
“This award is a symbol of gratitude for the exceptional service and contributions these individuals have made. It is well-deserved recognition of their outstanding efforts in strengthening our community,” said Elizabeth May.
The selection process was undertaken by a distinguished panel of local leaders who assisted MP May in reviewing nominations submitted by the public. These 25 recipients embody the spirit of service and dedication to their fellow Canadians and to their community.
Elizabeth May extends her sincere congratulations to all the award recipients and looks forward to celebrating their remarkable achievements.
