Elizabeth May’s Canada Day Public Events

Public events for Green Party of Canada Leader and Member of Parliament for Saanich-Gulf Islands Elizabeth May for Sunday, June 30th are:

1:30 p.m. – Elizabeth May will attend the grand opening of the Galiano Island Library.

4:00 p.m. – Elizabeth May will be participating in the Celebrate Sidney Days community barbecue, cake cutting and fireworks. Events will take place at Beacon Park.

7:00 p.m. – Elizabeth May will address the community alongside the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, during the Sidney Days Opening Celebration & Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony (Beacon Park Pavilion).

Public events for Elizabeth May for Monday, July 1st are:

9:00 a.m.  – Elizabeth May will attend the Sidney Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at the Mary Winspear Centre. 

11:00 a.m. – Elizabeth May will take part in the 2013 Sidney Days Parade. She will ride with veterans from the Canadian Association of Peacekeepers. The parade starts at Beacon Avenue and Resthaven Drive.

1:15 p.m. – Elizabeth May will be participating in the cake cutting at 1:15pm as part of the festivities at the Salt Spring Canada Day Show and Shine. The show runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Centennial Park, Downtown Ganges, Salt Spring Island.

2:30 p.m. – Elizabeth May will be attending the Saturna Island Lamb Barbeque at 2:30pm. This annual barbeque is held at Winter Cove, Gulf Islands National Park Reserve from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

4:00 p.m. – Elizabeth May will participate in Poet’s Cove Canada Day festivities (9801 Spalding Road, Pender Island) until the 9 p.m. fireworks.
