Students, conservation organizations and community groups will join Sunday in Victoria for protests against the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline.
The day of action will start at 11: 30 a.m. at the legislature, with a march to Centennial Square at noon.
Next weekend, an event dedicated to an oil-free coast will be held at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. The April 21 presentation, moderated by broadcaster Arthur Black, is organized by Raincoast Conservation Foundation and the Saanich-Gulf Islands Green party, and will feature a talk by Green MP Elizabeth May.
