”On this International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, we remember how the world stood by and watched as over a million people were killed and expelled from their lands. One of the darkest chapters in human history, the Rwandan genocide is a reminder of the consequences of inaction. Never Again must mean Never Again. Today we recognise the perseverance of Rwandans and reaffirm our commitment to defending human rights for all.”
