April 15 to 21 is National Volunteer Week across Canada. The Green Party of Canada sends a sincere thank you to all of the many volunteers across the country who engage in their communities.
“All volunteers deserve to be celebrated. Food banks, suicide hotlines, firefighters, health care, senior care-the list of how volunteers enrich our country is endless. Volunteers add immensely to our quality of life in Canada and I thank them very much,” said Green Leader Elizabeth May.
“A special thanks of course to our Green Party of Canada volunteers. We have so many wonderful volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to keeping our country Green and ensuring the strength of our democratic process,” said May.
“In my own riding of Saanich-Gulf Islands, I am continually overwhelmed with the generosity of my volunteers. Together we form a mighty team.”
The incredible work of Green Party volunteers appears at every level of the organization, from the federal council to local canvassers-each role is vital for our success. All ages and types of people are involved, from all parts of Canada. The Green Party of Canada is truly a grassroots organization.
Our sincere appreciation and thanks to each and every volunteer.
