Back in her B.C. riding, Elizabeth May will talk to the media today about her private members’ bill to end domestic shark fin sales. May says that by putting the proper regulatory controls in place, the “inherently cruel” and “wasteful” trade can be stopped. A number of jurisdictions around the world are banning the practice, which usually leads to death for the shark that has been stripped of its fin.
