Statement on anniversary of mass shooting in Nova Scotia

Please read the following statement from Elizabeth May recognising the anniversary of the mass shooting in Nova Scotia:

”Five years ago today, Canadians were devastated by the news coming out of Nova Scotia. Particularly for Nova Scotians, the grief was overwhelming. Today we remember the 22 individuals who were senselessly killed by a gunman in the worst mass shooting in Canadian history. This was preventable. We must implement all recommendations of the Mass Casualty Commission’s Final Report and ensure such a tragedy never takes place again.”
