Please read the following statement from Elizabeth May recognising Armenian Genocide Memorial Day:
“Today marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. Armenian Canadians are commemorating this solemn occasion in remembrance of the hundreds of thousands who were senselessly killed between 1915-16. I proudly stand in solidarity with Armenians, who continue to face persecution and displacement by Azerbaijan’s government. I especially want to thank the Armenian National Committee of Canada for its work advocating for Armenian rights and culture.”
