Please read the following statement from Elizabeth May, MP for Saanich–Gulf Islands and Leader of the Green Party of Canada, recognising Lyme Awareness Month:
“Today is the first day of Lyme Awareness Month! I am deeply committed to action on Lyme disease and the full implementation of my first private members bill – now Canadian law – for a federal Lyme Disease Strategy. But we must do more. We need Lyme awareness and the right of every Canadian to seek treatment from a Lyme literate physician. Like Long Covid, Long Lyme needs action.”
