Please read the following statement from Elizabeth May recognising the National Day of Mourning (Worker’s Mourning Day):
“On this Worker’s Mourning Day, I encourage everyone to take time today to remember and support all those lost or injured in workplace incidents. Workplace tragedies are far too common, yet they are far too often overlooked. We continue to fight for better compensation for those who have experienced workplace injuries and those whose loved ones never came home from work. We can and must do more to guarantee safe workplaces for all in Canada.”
