“On this World Refugee Day, we recognise the inalienable right of safety for all forcibly displaced people. Conflict and the climate crisis are driving the number of refugees worldwide up. As a nation with multicultural roots and values, and at a time when more countries are closing their doors to refugees and asylum seekers, Canada must continue to be a safe haven where families can resettle and give back to our communities.
