“Later today, Canadians will be recognising Earth Hour from 8:30-9:30pm in all local time zones. This is one of the largest symbolic grassroots movements in the world – an act of global solidarity. Earth Hour offers a time to take meaningful action for the environment. It is more than turning off the lights. Everyone has the potential to effect change to reduce our carbon footprint and create a more sustainable world.”
